Cafe Rouge is a chain of Brasserie-style restaurants serving a range of light meals and drinks within a French atmosphere. There is a large choice of dishes as well as hot and cold drinks which makes this restaurant a good stop off point for tea and snacks rather than grand dinners. This branch can cater for private parties of up to 70 guests upon request and provides pavement seating.

Cafe Rouge
As winners of the MenuMasters 2004Award for the brightest and most creative menu in the UK, Cafe Rouge have established themselves as gourmet kings. The French breakfast can be anything from the classic of ham and Gruy?re cheese croque topped with a fried egg to a variety of croissants. As if that wasn’t enough, you can sample the delights of the Paupiette de Poulet, Moules du Caf? Rouge or Salade aux Crotins de Chevre. At ?24 per head, it’s all worth it.

I llllll------oooooo-------vvvvvvv------eeeeeeee Cafe Rouge. It is become my little chill out spot after work, the gym or Saturday lunch/ with a friend. The one I share with just special friends. It is set in a little quiet village like road appropiately called Abbeville and when you walk in for breakfast, lunch or dinner the staff are always helpful and very welcoming!!!!!! The food is very nice of course and inexpensive, my best side dishes are the chips or (frites) and the fresh garlic bread, main course will have to be the Salmon.....and the portions are good. The atmosphere is set in a dimmed lit and is very romantic and French. ooooooohhhh la la !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overpriced and overblown. The food's ok (I particularly like the haddock with hollandaise sauce), but let's face it there are better places to go on Abbeville Road

"WHAT????? What do you mean you loooooooovvvvvvweeeeeee Cafe Rouge ? You obviously have never been to France, you sad sad person. Just in case you didn't know the facts behind Cafe rouge- this is a brewery owned 'chain' restaurant (if you could call serving floppy baguettes a restaurant) Cafe Rouge is a pathetically bad attempt to impersonate french cuisine and is an utter insult to the French and their food. The cafe au laits are crap, the food is bad beyond anyone's comprehension and the only thing that reflects the French is the level of service! What an insult to this well designed interactive food/restaurant page to write or indeed give any time to a poorly executed excuse for a restaurant! You should get out more!
