An old timer on the Chelsea scene, Daphne’s opened in 1964 and alongside being a neighbourhood favourite, still attracts the odd star spot. Head Chef, Michael Brown, serves up an excellent selection of contemporary and traditional Italian dishes. The anti pasti dishes are excellent, think fried courgette flowers or roasted rare veal with capers, whilst gnocchi, pasta and risotto are set at more than affordable prices, and rump of lamb, squid and liver fight for your attention for main courses.

"We went to Daphne's on Saturday night for a friend's birthday celebration. It was fantastic! The food was lovely and such good value (we had mezze) and the staff gave excellent service and went that extra mile to make my friend's birthday a memorable occasion. Highly recommended."

"My favourite Chelsea restaurant by far for celebrity spotting, the food?s great too, but the service can be a bit funny sometimes. The Italian menu is really delicious, you can be sure of ordering something delicious. You will always encounter lots of Americans dining in this restaurant too, so beware if you don?t like to overhear what your neighbours are talking about."
